Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to share the love, so we’re doing that at Family’s Tree Service Inc. As we look back over the years, many stories of pet rescues come to mind. It’s not just the fire department that people call when their cat is stuck up in a tree!
One morning we received a call about a young 4-month-old cat that had scampered high into the branches of a tall maple tree. Too scared to come down, it had already spent one night in the tree, and the owners were very distraught. No-one else would come to their aid, so in desperation they called us, their local tree service company.
By the time Josh arrived at their Gallatin home with our big bucket truck, a large crowd had gathered around the tree to watch the rescue. Extended high into the branches, he carefully reached out and lifted the scared kitty into the bucket, and it was soon back in the arms of its owners, to the applause of the onlookers.
The folks at Family’s Tree Service Inc. have a real heart for helping animals and wildlife, with a close relationship with SPA (Safe Place for Animals), the Sumner Spay Neuter Alliance and Walden’s Puddle.
This Valentine’s Day we are launching our contest for the most unusual pet rescue story. Email us your favorite story with a picture, and we’ll judge two winning entries (Email to: [email protected]).
You have until February 28! The winner and the runner up stories will be published on our Facebook page, and will receive a gift certificate to Pet Supplies Plus in Hendersonville for $50 and $25 respectively.
